Artist's Statement:
Swearing is a vital social expression. It indicates to the social group that one of it’s members is experiencing strong emotions or opinions - displeasure, pain, aggression, anger, disagreement, etc. Still today, it is much more tolerated when males, rather than females, speak “foul” words. Women are censured this valuable form of social communication, that is, if they are to be considered ‘nice girls’.
