| Artist's Statement: Ulysses’ Daughter is a visual narrative portraying modern woman’s journey through life. Like the mythical hero of Homers Odyssey, the woman – depicted by the artist herself – passes through a series of fantastical worlds, each a metaphor for the successive stages of life: the innocence of childhood, the curiosity of adolescence, the choices of adulthood, motherhood and career, and ultimately the coming to term’s with life’s bitter disappointments and quiet resolutions. |
